Heaven!
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp-
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.
Bob, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.
And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber - give me a clue.'
Hush, child, He said,
they're all in shock.
No one thought they'd be seeing you.
JUDGE NOT!!
~
Empty
A place on earth is empty
A voice we loved is gone.
Yet in the memories of our heart,
the love we knew lives on.
In God's redeeming purpose,
we cannot always know
the reason for the sad times
that we must undergo.
And yet our faith assures us
God's love and strength will be
sufficient for our days on earth -
and all eternity.
~
Our tears fall silently,
our hearts grieve quietly...
but God hears our cries
and shares our sorrow.
~
Welcome Home
Each of us is given
Precious time to spend on earth,
But we know the journey leads us
To a home of greater worth.
Sometimes the Father takes us
Down a path not of our choice,
But when it lead to heaven,
How our hearts and souls rejoice!
And earthly cares all vanish
When at last we hear God say,
"Welcome home, My precious child,
I led you all the way."
~ Safe In The Arms of
Jesus
He is not only
holding your loved one
at this time,
He will also
tenderly hold you,
lovingly comfort you,
and faithfully walk
with you
every step of he way. |
