Your Opinion Counts

I need your help to make this site the very best that it can be.  If you have any suggestions on how to make the GGS Website better, maybe you have an idea for a new page or just other types of information that you would like to see on the site, please put your suggestions or ideas in the suggestion box.  If you have a website and you would like a link to your site placed on the GGS Website, send me the information and I will place a link on the links page.  Most important, if you find a mistake on the GGS Website,  or something that is outdated, I need to know that too.  The GGS Website belongs to all GGS Members, therefore, all members should have some input  into its content.

Statewide Show and Tell
Bring your gourds to talk about.
Jim Hughes will be bringing his gourd fiddle and mandolin to share and play a few songs.

Attention Gourders!

There will be a special exhibition of FIRST PLACE GOURDS this year.  If you have ever won FIRST PLACE in the MASTER'S or BEST OF SHOW categories in any gourd show or the equivalent, such as PEOPLE'S CHOICE or PRESIDENT'S AWARD, please bring the gourd that won the prize to the show. We will be setting up a special exhibit for just those pieces so everyone can see the outstanding gourd art of the past. If you have sold your prize winning gourd, see if you can borrow it back just for the show. We want to see all the great winning pieces from the years past. Thanks. Contact HUDI Sandgren at 770-513-8823
hudijay@netzero.com if you have any questions.

Don't forget to bring your auction items to help pay for the show expenses!

New Gourd Opportunity
October 2010 and October 2011

The Georgia Living Exhibitions at the Georgia National Fair will increase the number of gourd craft contest categories from one to five. The Georgia National Fair plans to make Gourd Art the featured craft for the 2011 fair. Please plan to participate in the 2010 expanded gourd categories so that we can reach more people with this Gourd Society message.
