Class: PYROGRAPHY BASICS

Cost:  FREE

Hope all of you are getting ready for The Spirit of Gourds Show!
 
Sandy Taylor, our well known pyrographer, will be teaching a class on PYROGRAPHY BASICS.
No art project will be done in class.  This will be a “hands on” learning class on how to use your burner to create shading, lines, texture, feathers, fur, etc.  You will be practicing basic principles that can be combined to do any project you want. 

Participants to bring:

A variable temperature woodburner (Hot Tool or single temp burner not appropriate for this class)
All of your burner pens – a skew and ball tip are essential
Electrical extension cord
Large gourd scraps, or a throw away gourd to work on
A sharpened pencil
Baby wipes

Don't forget to bring your white elephant sale items and your Show and tell items

Also, please bring any last cacti bowls for show. 

Need donations for the live auction PLEASE!

Directions:
I-85 N exit 108, Sugarloaf Parkway.
I-85 S exit 109, Sugarloaf Parkway.
Travel West on Sugarloaf Parkway.
First intersection is Satellite Blvd. Take a left at this light.
Turn right immediately into the Civic Center Complex.
Building 300 at the big huge Robot is the entrance.
We will meet in one of the classrooms.
